Leverage Agency Secures Partnership With Modell's Sporting Goods to Present Harlem Globetrotters' First-Ever Game in Brooklyn

The world famous Harlem Globetrotters have announced a partnership with Modell's Sporting Goods as the local presenting sponsor for the Globetrotters' first-ever game in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at 5:00 p.m. This deal was brokered and negotiated by Leverage Agency the Globetrotters agency of record.

As part of the partnership, three of the team's stars - 7-foot-8 Tiny Sturgess, Brooklyn native Hammer Harrison, and Bronx native Cheese Chisholm - are scheduled to meet fans at the Brooklyn Modell's location from 5:00-6:00 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 5, prior to game in Brooklyn that will tip-off the Globetrotters' 2013 "You Write the Rules" World Tour.

Modell's will also run a consumer sweepstakes that will award five fans courtside seats to the Oct. 7 game - the first basketball game at the new Barclays Center - and an additional 50 fans tickets to the show and a pre-game meet and greet with Globetrotters stars. All area Modell's locations are also offering vouchers for $10 off select tickets to the Brooklyn show.

Additionally, Modell's will be the Globetrotters' local promotional partner for nine other select tour shows in New York, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Baltimore, and Providence, R.I. Modell's will award fans with complimentary tickets and meet and greets with Globetrotters stars.
